                                      HYDRO-STONE

HYDRO-STONE GYPSUM CEMENT products are the strongest  gypsum cements available.  They are the materials of choice for many uses, including molds figurines, modeling material, anchoring material, density fill, lamp bases, simulated stone products, and die production.

Advantages

  • HYDRO-STONE Gypsum Cements exhibit granite -like, hardness and strength. The unique formulations of HYDROSTONE Cements provide tremendous early strength.   HYDRO- STONE Super X Gypsum Cement reaches 6,500 psi. (wet) in one hour, and up to 13,500 psi (dry) ultimate strength.

Their use requires a minimal water-to-powder ratio.   The result is a dense material that develops compressive strengths greater than any 0ther gypsum cement or portland cement concrete- just one hour after set. Plus hard surfaces that are very resistant to abrasion and wear.

  • Quick mix, predictable set: HYDRO-STONE Gypsum Cements mix and set faster than portland cement. Setting time can be controlled to specific job requirements.
  • No shrinkage: HYDRO-STONE Gypsum Cements expand as they set. They pervade voids and follow surface contours. They fill cracks and spaces fully and evenly, eliminating shrinkage.
  • Fluid, self-leveling formulation: With the consistency of thick syrup, these products flow and level like a fluid. They create flat, uniform surfaces even over large areas. They require little troweling or screeding if mixed at the proper consistency.
  • Built-in economy: HYDRO-STONE Gypsum Cements considerably reduce application time. They eliminate the delay for curing common to most other cements so that the next step in production can proceed almost immediately. This decreases expensive labor costs to safeguard profitability.
  • Limitations are few: HYDRO-STONE Gypsum Cement products are not designed for use as structural members, vertical applications, exterior use or use where sustained exposure to water is anticipated.

HYDRO-STONE Gypsum Cement Formulations

HYDRO-STONE

HYDRO-STONE Gypsum Cement is especially suitable where high strength and resistance to wear are necessary. Used in high-quality art and novelty castings, molds, figurines, modeling material, anchoring material, density fill applications, lamp bases and die production. Works well in most mold materials, especially flexible molds. Expands about two times greater than HYDROCAL A-11

HYDRO-STONE TB

HYDRO-STONE TB Gypsum Cement resists yellowing when exposed to sunlight. This modified HYDRO-STONE formulation minimizes color variations. Used in high-quality figurines or wherever coloring is a factor. Also may be used for density fill and simulated stone products.

HYDRO-STONE Super X

HYDRO-STONE Super X Gypsum Cement is the strongest and hardest gypsum cement available. Designed for use at a consistency of 21 to 23 parts of water per 100 parts gypsum cement by weight. Develops highest compressive strength of any gypsum cement. Used for many high strength applications including cast statuary, anchoring cements, simulated stone products and density fill.
